Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) is a member-based organization, with an elected council, a number of office bearers and a secretariat. HRCP is interested in working with people committed to the principles of Universal Declaration of Human Rights and all other Charters, Covenants and Protocols of the United Nations Organizations on Human Rights. As the first step to joining Human Rights Commission of Pakistan as a member, a membership form has to be completed. The form is available from all HRCP Offices. The form has to be duly completed, which in addition to personal details of the person also requires nomination by a valid member of HRCP, which has to be seconded by another valid member. After submission of the application form, membership is subject to approval by the council.
The annual fee for membership is Rupees five hundred (for local residents) and for people living abroad Rupees one thousand. Life membership fee is a one time payment of Rupees twenty thousand. Membership Fee is accepted in cash at all offices of HRCP. Payments being sent to the HRCP Office from other cities are only accepted through money orders and drafts payable to “Human Rights Commission of Pakistan”.
